It’s Not Fair

It isn’t fair to ask your mind to solve all your problems.  It isn’t fair to ask your mind to control things that it can’t.  It doesn’t make any sense at all to force your mind to make decisions all day long, to choose between alternatives that it really can’t understand in a world that is just too darned complex for it.

But Wait…It Gets Worse
(as if one mind wasn’t enough)

If you just had your mind to contend with you might have a chance.  But you don’t.  A friend of mine just got divorced after twenty-four years.  His wife was tough.  She is always, and I do mean always, unsatisfied.  The only time that she isn’t angry at him is when she is angry at their kids.  She is bitter and blames him continually for the plight that she doesn’t even admit is hers.  She is overweight under happy and her life really isn’t worth living.  She takes this out on the people around her.

You have to deal not only with your own mind but with her mind as well.  You have to deal with your bosses mind or if you are the boss with the minds of all your employees or if you work by yourself you have to deal with the fickle, immature, ever groping minds of your customers.  You are not alone in the world.  You are surrounded by people just as insecure and goofy as you trying to prove that they are OK or better than you are.  You have people around you who are constantly taking their readings off of you or using you as an excuse for their problems or perhaps worse yet looking at you to be some kind of a solution for what they won’t admit ails them.

Take A Mental Vacation

You deserve a vacation.  You deserve to escape, at least temporarily, at least long enough to get some perspective, the world in which the mind, and your thinking try and control all the variables.  It is amazing the perspectives that will reveal themselves as you stop shouting how things are supposed to be or let up on the stories about what has gone wrong or right in your life.  It will amaze and dazzle you as, on vacation, you start to notice that you aren’t and never were who you have been pretending to be. As pretense drops away you will be dazzled and delighted with who you really are.

A vacation is exactly what you need and deserve.  A vacation from having to figure things out.  A break in which you have enough, aren’t lonely, aren’t compulsively trying to change anything.  A break in which you forget who you are so that who you really are can come out of hiding. Imagine a place where you have just what you want when you want it.  Where you are taken care of and can relax into who you really are.  Imagine letting the responsibilities you normally carry just fall away.

Vacation With Someone You Love: YOU!

This vacation is finding out who you are.  It is beginning the process of reclaiming your life.  Your mind, a minor dictator, has taken over and a “real” vacation is only possible by discovering that your mind isn’t really in charge of what goes on. Life with your mind, allegedly, in charge is hard.  You have to stay busy, you have to continue to prove yourself, you have to produce results or convince yourself or others that you are important.  This process of continually creating value and purpose is tough, it preempts a vacation and robs you of “real” joy, “genuine” pleasure and the sense that everything is as it should be which is the essence of a real vacation.

At first glance your prospects for a happy life may look bleak, but they really aren’t.  Your mind really does need a vacation. The grand news is that a vacation is right here waiting to be taken. Right here, right now is waiting for you. The problem is that your mind can’t get there. The great news is that you are already there. A little perspective is all you need. Perspective on your mind, perspective on how your present dilemmas or solutions are all part of the problem. The discovery that your mind really isn’t your ally: yet.

The Misery of Mystery

Lets try a little experiment.  A package comes in the mail.  Notice that immediately you want to know what’s inside. You look for a return address in hopes that it might give you a clue. Before you even notice that you notice anything you look at the size of the package you try and determine what is in it.  If there is no return address on it that makes things even worse.  You need to open it, you need to find out what it is.  The more interesting looking the package the wilder you are to find out what it is.

Or, you’re at work and receive a bouquet of flowers. Do you keep on working?  Of course not! You open the card that came with the bouquet. You need to find out who sent you the flowers.  Your mind will drive you nuts until you find out what is in the package and who the flowers are from.

All you need is one little mystery and your mind drives you crazy.  All you need is one little thing that you don’t know and you will think, and think and think some more.  You will wear yourself out thinking.  You will think about your thinking.  You will make up who the flowers are from or what is in the box.  You will literally drive yourself crazy.

There is Mystery Everywhere

You are surrounded with mystery all the time.  The meaning of life in a mystery, why people do what they do is a mystery, how to get rid of athelete’s foot or satisfy your sweet heart is a mystery.  There are mysteries everywhere, that is just the nature of life on Earth.  And, mystery makes the mind go b     o            n              k                e          r     s!

But oddly once you find out what is in the package and who the flowers are from you don’t feel any better.  You don’t feel more satisfied or fulfilled.  In fact, you look for the next mystery, the next thing that drives you to think and figure things out.  In short, you love not knowing and you are driven to know.  Your mind thrives on not knowing and thinks that it needs to know.  Your mind loves the time between when the flowers arrive and when you know who they are from.  That is its favorite time.  Not knowing feeds you and you try and avoid it.

Your mind really doesn’t want to buy its own bullshit anymore.  It is curious, creative, endlessly entertaining but only when it is in perspective, only when it doesn’t have to run things.

Opening your 7th sense relieves your mind, it puts the mind in perspective, and you can do it without changing anything, without traveling to Sedona or taking pills or getting a promotion or that trophy spouse.  You can do it right where you are.

Quit The Misery

If you want to lose weight, if you want more money, if you want an amazing relationship, if you want more joy and pleasure, if you want to smarter, quicker, happier, more creative and funnier then open your 7th sense.

It really is that simple.  Listen into Opening Your 7th Sense.

Quit your worrying, quit trying to control things, quit trying to lose weight or make more money.  Quit trying to be important or trying to make a difference.  Quit trying to say something clever or think something important.  Quit trying to prove yourself to yourself or others.

You can’t quit.  You have bought into this crazy game and are trapped in it.  Even trying to quit is trying to change something.  But, and this is the really good news, I can help you.  Yes, I really can.  Relief is always close at hand.  Relief is much closer than your next thought.

Relief is waiting patiently in the process of opening your 7th sense.  Opening Your 7th Sense provides infinite perspectives on finite problems.  It frees your mind and opens you naturally, easily and ecologically.  It is the best thing you can do for yourself and all you have to do is listen into the CDs.

Need Help?

You have practiced being crazy so often that you have forgotten what sane is.  If you need a cup of coffee to get going in the morning that is crazy.  If you have a hard time falling asleep at night that is nuts.  If you wake up in the morning and immediately begin to think of all the things that you must do that day you are your own worst enemy.

If you are trying to fulfill yourself with any stimuli from outside you are already trapped in trauma.  If you want to take a vacation but on vacation you think about work and while at work you think about vacation then you are a pawn of your mind.  If you want sex with lots of people or don’t want sex at all then the best you can do is be frustrated.

If you notice that things aren’t the way you would like them to be.  If you want more and sense that something is missing.  If you would like to be held, hugged and told everything is alright.  If you sense that something is horribly wrong and that you can’t trust your thinking or other people’s thinking.

If any of these are true for you then you have probably already begun to wake up.  As you begin to wake up you need even more support than if you haven’t.  You really need to be accepted gently, softly and sweetly.  It is time for nurturing and thoughts are really not your friends.  If you are beginning to wake up your mind will do anything, and I do mean anything, to have you fall back asleep again.

Opening Your 7th Sense: A New Kind Of “Wake-Up” Call

I can help you return to your senses.  A return to your senses will always provide you a break from the craziness.  It allows the mind to take a break.  It enhances the connections between your mind and body.  It has you be supported by our surroundings only after you have some perspective on who you are.

The return to your senses is as simple as listening to the first CD of Opening Your 7th Sense.  On the first couple of CDs we explore the magical world of seeing, hearing, feeling smelling and tasting.  No need to rush these CDs.  Listen to them often.  As you listen to them your senses will naturally begin to show themselves.  Your thinking will lighten up.  You will begin to thrive on what is here rather than long for what is missing.  You will begin to sense that well-being is always closer than your next thought.

Into The Heart Of A Child

Returning to your senses is returning to the world of wonderment that a young child lives in.  It is watching the sunset or the tree or feeling a sensation in your leg as though it is yours.  It is opening to every sensation and every sensation wakes you up.  It has you notice that you exist.  It has you begin to take note that you are a context, a container, in which thinking happens.

You aren’t your thinking.  Descartes said “I think therefore I am.”  That is crazy.  Does that mean that the dog, or tree that doesn’t “think” really isn’t?  The dog senses, the tree senses, the rock senses.  As you return to your senses you will discover that you are among friends.  As long as you can sense anything, as long as you can see, hear or feel your mind can stay on vacation.  But, of course it won’t.

This Is Just The Beginning…

Returning to your senses provides a grand relief but it isn’t the end.  As you tap in more fully to your senses and begin to notice that your thinking embellishes, distorts and changes your senses a natural knowing will arise in you.  Opening to your senses begins to open your sixth sense:  intuition.  Intuition is a natural knowing which has nothing to do with thought.  It has nothing to prove.  It is discovering the essence of what is here without having to figure anything out.  It is knowing who sent the flowers and what is in the box already.  You know without any mental effort or even any mental processes at all.  You sense through things not just on the surface of things.

At first, your intuition may freak you out; and it definitely will have the people around you wondering if you are psychic.  As you begin to naturally know things it is important not to get hooked on this knowing.  It doesn’t matter what you know or that you know.  Here again a little help is very useful.

The CDs nudge you gently along reminding you that intuition is the beginning of something much bigger, not an end.  It isn’t something that you need to learn but a perception that can nurture you.  At every stage in the process of waking up, which is what we are playing with here, the mind seeks to regain control.  Intuition is a very powerful ability but if the mind claims credit for it, even in the least, it became a destination and the process of waking up slows or ceases.   Once that happens intuition becomes a burden.  As your life became much easier, more fun and a playground all of which will happen out of returning to your senses intuition will naturally arise and the mind will naturally try to claim credit for it.  Knowing this progression and continuing to listen to the perspectives available on the CDs will take you to the next step.

Introducing…Your 7th Sense

Once intuition is integrated and contextualized you are ready to meet YOU.  You are ready to discover who you really are.  You are ever-present and open.  At this point, as you discover who you really are, there must be a groundwork, a foundation.  Your mind is such a tiny part of who you really are and doesn’t want you to know that.

The initial return to the senses is the vertical movement from what you think to what you feel. You are then moving from your head to your heart. As the senses become your allies you can begin to discover natural knowing:  intuition.  Once you know that you always can know then you will begin to sense the relevance of this always.  At this precious stage of self-knowledge, polarities disappear and you discover yourself as a context for all that is.  You exit the cycle of control that mind is so much a part of and experience yourself as ever-expanding presence.  At this point your mind is officially blown, which interestingly enough puts it on permanent vacation.  It is now able to create, imagine and dream as life becomes more art than craft.

The 7th Sense is presence and Opening Your 7th Sense has you discover that you have been present always.

Are You Stuck in Your Head?

Do you believe your thoughts?  Even more specifically do you think that the ongoing conversations in your head offer you any clarity at all?

Most people, at least in this culture, trust their thinking.  This simple misplaced trust in the root of most of our suffering.

Please let me draw a distinction here.  Pain is something that hurts physically, suffering is a mental or emotional resistance that may be a reaction to physical pain but isn’t the pain itself.

Suffering is optional, pain seldom is.

Trusting your thinking results in suffering.

It takes practice, play and attention to escape the vicious cycle of trusting thinking.  The best way I know to accomplish this is to return to your senses.  In The Dancing Bear Suite, which is part of Opening Your Seventh Sense, you can explore and adopt a simple metaphor which supports you in releasing your thinking.

We have asked thinking to do everything for us.  We still imagine that we can figure life out, or figure anything out for that matter.  Thinking has taken over and it is trying its best but it just doesn’t have the ability, the depth, the speed, the maturity to run the show.

Playing with The Dancing Bear Suite frees your thinking allowing it to provide entertainment and creativity for you.  Once free thinking becomes the loveable asset in was meant to be.

Your Mind Can’t Solve Your Problems The Answer Is Not In Your Head

In the process of waking up, which we are all in, your mind is not your friend.  It doesn’t want you to wake up.  It wants to continue its dominance and it just can’t do that if you are awake. It wants to persist in its empty world of problem solving and error correction.  You need to believe everything it thinks, everything it has to say.

Your mind creates problems so that it can solve them.  You wake up in the morning and remember that you have a project to get done at work.  You aren’t even at work and you are already thinking about work.  You don’t notice that there are flowers blooming or that your kids could use some attention because you are thinking about finishing the project.   When you get to work you think about being home or going on vacation.  Thinking is funny, it is just that we are often so serious we miss the joke.

I spoke with a really, really smart twenty something kid, named Rob, last week.  He is in college.  He has, at this ripe young age, defended himself almost entirely with thinking.  I asked him when the last time he want out with a girl was.  “Do you mean on a date?” Rob said.

“Yes.”

“Well, I can’t remember when I went on a date.  There is this girl in my English class that I think is really attractive.”

“Have you asked her out?”

“If I asked her out she would probably go out with me.  If she went out with me we would probably have a good time and go out a few times.  After a few times we would decide that we like each other and one thing would lead to another and we would probably end up getting married.  Once we were married we would want to have kids and I just don’t think that raising kids is easy and I don’t think that she is the one who I want to have kids with.  So, if I ask her out I am really just asking for trouble.”

Thinking, thinking and more thinking.  Rob has gotten to the point where he just thinks.  While the story about Rob may seem a little extreme to you I promise you that it isn’t.

Learning to let go of your thinking is one of the most important steps you can take. Set your thinking free and you are in for the ride of a lifetime.

Dogs don’t have problems unless you are around.  They wake up and lie around for a while then get up and walk around for a while.  They eat when they eat and they aren’t aware of themselves.  They can’t create problems because they can’t tune into what isn’t.  Something has to be there for them to react to it.  You, on the other paw, continually deal with, juggle, balance and react to what isn’t.  You worry about the big meeting next week.  You wonder what your spouse or friends think of you.  You constantly do battle with your imagination.  What makes this really difficult is that your body reacts to your imaginings as though they are real.  You spin downward into a world of your own creation not even verifying things with your senses anymore.  Your mind is whacko.  You think you are too fat, you think you should have more money, love or success.  You think that your are worthwhile or that you aren’t worthwhile and no matter what you think it is an imaginary creation with no reality to it at all.  Thinking and overthinking separates you from others robbing you of intimacy, connections and wisdom that make life really worth living.

The Emperor, the mind, has no clothes. The mind is a great follower but makes a terrible leader.  It is insecure, scared, immature, reactionary, compulsive, angry, unsatisfied, unsatisfyable, confused, certain, lost or found. The mind isn’t supposed to do the job that you’ve assigned it to do.

You Deserve to be Healthy, Wealthy and Wise!

Health isn’t about vitamins and eating right it is about falling in love with who you are.

Wealth isn’t about getting more, it is about discovering what you already have.

Wisdom isn’t about information and knowledge it is about tapping into the natural flow.

Nancy is a world class runner.  For several years she was the fastest woman in the United States at every distance from the one hundred yard dash to the twenty six mile marathon.  Nancy was driven.  She trained like crazy, she was a lean and mean running machine.

One day after several miles of time trials and sprints Nancy took off her watch and threw it in the bushes.  At that moment she didn’t stop running, she started running for herself instead of to beat the clock.  She describes that moment as a turning point in her life.  She was free.  She started to run for fun, she, in one instant, began a new life.

In that moment Nancy gained a deep, intimate perspective on what is important. When we lose sight of what is important to us we forget who we are, when that happens it doesn’t matter if we are the fastest, richest, or thinnest person on Earth we can never be Healthy, Wealthy or Wise.

What if you could gain a deep, intimate and permanent perspective of what is important to you?

Being Wealthy has nothing to do with making money.  It has a lot to do with a deep and undeniable sense of well being.

Barry worked a lot, but he didn’t become wealthy until he learned how to play.  All through law school Barry drove himself hard.  He wanted to be successful and he had no better scale to measure success by than making more money.  Though he was very smart he didn’t notice that “more money” is an endless pursuit.  No matter how much money you have you could always have more.  Have you noticed that rich people aren’t any happier than poor people?

Wanting more is a rat running on an endless wheel, getting nowhere and gaining nothing.

Fast forward, Barry is in the rat race.  He has become a financial planner and works all the time.  He has a wife and two kids but still wants more money.  Though rich he is not wealthy and is in fact still poor.

Barry’s transition into wealth wasn’t instantaneous like Nancy’s aha moment.  Barry began to notice that he wasn’t having any fun.  He watched his kids growing up but didn’t feel close to them.  When he noticed what was missing, a very important step, he became unwilling to keep up the “more” game.

Fast forward again to discover Barry at his sixtieth birthday party.  He, just for fun, decided to have a party.  He invited a hundred people and eighty-five of them showed up.  Barry now measures the wealth of his life by the friends he has and by the intimacy and openness he shares with both family and friends.  Barry has gained a perspective and became wealthy.

What if you could discover who you really are, add flexibility to every aspect of your life and discover how clever, smart and wonderful you are naturally?

Wisdom is about who knows rather than what you know.  It is about the conversion of knowledge to action and action to being.

John knows almost everything.  He is an MD and an attorney.  He can take one glance at a complex map and memorize it fully enough that he can pilot a plane from it, and does.  In the ten years that I have known John I have seldom found the limits of his knowledge.  He knows a lot on just about any subject.

As you might imagine he reads voraciously.  He seeks more knowledge, more information the way that Barry sought money.  John has recently discovered that all the knowledge he can gather, all the information on the internet, all the clever words he can speak don’t add up to an ounce of wisdom.

Knowledge is about accumulation, wisdom is about letting go.  As John begins reluctantly to let go he discovered a natural knowing which taps into his intuition.

John used to use his knowledge as a clever defense against getting to know people and feeling emotions.  He was stuck in his head, not realizing that wisdom is a collaboration between mind body and beyond.

As John becomes wiser he is liberated from having to know.  He still is really smart, he still reads a lot, he still enjoys accumulating knowledge and information but he also enjoys not knowing, being confused and even sometimes being stupid.

John has discovered that he doesn’t have to continually defend himself with words and information.  He has found a safe, quiet place within himself that knows without information.

What if you could tap into your natural wisdom, endless energy and deep sensitivity and love anytime or all the time?

Health, Wealth and Wisdom.  Whether you are physically driven, like Nancy, monetarily driven like Barry or knowledge driven like John you will benefit by returning to your senses, deepening your understanding and perception of who you are and falling in love with yourself.

Discover the Power of “The 7th Sense”!

7th Sense is about enhancing your five senses:  seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling and tasting by developing your sixth sense:  intuition and your seventh sense:  presence.  This five CD set offers you an experiential romp through what is possible for a human being. But it doesn’t stop there.  On the next three CDs you discover how to dance effortlessly through life in the The Dancing Bear Suite.

The Dancing Bear Suite reveals and simple yet profound model for perceiving yourself as three bears:  your mind (baby bear), your heart (Mama Bear), and your belly (Papa Bear).  Armed with these three distinctions it is possible to liberate your mind from the mundane and tap into great spiritual depths.  Listen and experience this three CD set as you expand what is possible for you, and greatly enhance your worldly presence.  Dancing Bear Suite is philosophy at its best, it should be required listening for anyone tat all interested in personal growth or development.

Once upon a time there were three bears. Big Bear was huge and strong and powerful. Middle Bear was very sensitive and emotionally turbulent. Little Bear was barely a bear at all, so young, precocious and mischievous. Long before Goldy Locks ever arrived on the scene, the three bears had a difficult time getting along. Big Bear knew so much, was wise far beyond his years and gained constant infinite perspective by realizing that everything is connected, purposeful and perfect. Little Bear was a know it all. He believed anything he thought and expressed himself with profound insecurity that he didn't seem to notice. Little Bear wanted his way--always wanted his way. He would throw tantrums if he didn't get just what he wanted when he wanted it. Middle Bear was caught in the middle. She completely loved Big Bear and Little Bear, but was always caught between them. She would try and please Little Bear, by getting him what he wanted before he wanted it--a practice she seldom succeeded at. Middle Bear would try and explain to Big Bear that Little Bear was really a very good little bear.

Extrapolating from this story, imagine that each human being contains aspects of all three Bears and that these three Bears are continually trying to relate to each other. Big Bear is the belly, the deep infinite universal part of you. Middle Bear is the heart, everything you feel. Little Bear is the mind, a precocious little scamp if ever there was one. Middle Bear has to mediate between the infinite, Big Bear, and the finite, Little Bear. To do so she needs to feel love for both infinite and finite. She needs to embrace how things are and listen to Little Bear, not believing a word but still listening and loving. She needs to buffer Big Bear a bit from the mundane world as Big Bear is simply too big to dance here on Earth. Middle Bear needs to open her heart to both the tiniest and the biggest things at the same time. JS-Courses are all about opening your heart and discovering infinite love for Little Bear and finite appreciation for Big Bear so that the three bears can live happily, peacefully and gracefully ever after.

Recapturing The Excitement of YOUth!

I graduated high school in 1968.  I was something of a rebel in those days and did high school a bit “my way.” (I was one of only three guys with long hair in a school of 3,500 kids.) Even so… my formal education was fairly tame, but that was about to change.

The night of my graduation, I hopped a 2 a.m. flight from Chicago to Denver with an adventurous gleam in my eye. After camping out the rest of the night in the Denver airport, I watched the sun rise over the mountains and stepped into an exciting new world. It was a world where I had a big backpack, endless time, and a willing spirit of adventure. Hitchhiking in the early morning light, I wandered down the road marveling at magpies, the majestic Rockies, and feelings of endless, expansive freedom.

Right now…your Seventh Sense is calling you to experience the very same feelings of unbounded liberation.

Would you like to be free?  Would you like your life to be an adventure?  Opening your 7th sense is magical.  Everything changes, because you embody change.

Several years ago I went house shopping.  I found the perfect house.  It was on a lake in Northern Wisconsin.  It had a view of the lake, huge lakefront, a big fire place, porch and nine acres.  It was just what I wanted.  I was ready to put in an offer.

The real estate man said “There is one more thing I want to show you.”  We walked down a stairway that I hadn’t that lead into the basement.  The basement had lakeside windows.  It had a bathroom and knotty pine paneling.  It was a perfect, huge room that would soon become my primary recreation center once I bought the house.  I would have bought the house if it didn’t have a basement.

What are you missing?  What are you missing in each moment of your life?  Without tapping into your 7th sense you miss just about everything.  You are under fairly constant stress and frankly you are way less resourceful, creative and energized than you could be.  The 7th sense opens you to the present.

Listening to these CDs effortlessly opens you to dynamic depths where your inner wisdom resides. It offers new perspectives on all aspects of your life. It reveals the richness that already awaits you. This audio journey begins with the simple tools of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and takes off from there into a wonderland of new experiences.

In 1968, I took the trip of a lifetime. I hitchhiked to Haight-Ashbury arriving for the “Summer of Love.” I played and hung out with beautiful people during a beautiful time. Then I stuck out my thumb and hitchhiked up the Pacific coast to Alaska with wide eyes filled with wonderment—open, learning, laughing, loving, and playing.

If you’re ready for some wide-eyed, opening, laughing, learning, loving and playing, I invite you to experience listening to “The Seventh Sense” CDs.

Dissolve Stress: Living In “The Seventh Sense”

Your car needs all the cylinders firing to have a smooth, efficient and effective drive.

If you haven’t tapped into your 7th sense you aren’t playing with a full deck, you aren’t using all your resources, you are a few marbles short.  You are just making life much too difficult.

Notice how many times you get upset in a day.  Most of these are a result of not tapping into your natural wisdom:  the wisdom of the 7th sense.

Stress is all around you and recent research reveals that it both causes and contributes to all sorts of diseases.  Stress results when you are constantly trying to make the grade, trying to accomplish difficult tasks, trying to do all sorts of things without sufficient resources.  Tapping into your 7th sense provides energy, vitality, perspective, flexibility, sense of humor, lightness, enlightenment, sexual energy and much more.

Through out your day you are constantly reacting and defending yourself and you may not even realize it. You’re protecting yourself from a “perceived attack” that isn’t really an attack at all. You are trying not to worry about the past and trying to control the future.  You attempt and get along with other people who are also upset, but mostly you try and just make it through the day.  You are continually in the grasp of your mind which isn’t happy, is over worked and is busy reacting, explaining and trying to convince you that everything will be OK when you get promoted, or buy the new house, or have a child or have more money or something.  You live in the cloud of “someday.”  The 7th sense opens you to TODAY.

Opening Your 7th Sense has relationship become a source of pleasure, it has work become play and play become ecstatic.  Currently, without the 7th sense most of your life goes on around you without your noticing.  Life is passing you by.  With the 7th sense you become a participant in life.  You join in the flow and naturally and easily and effortlessly breeze through your day.  Certainly you will still get upset occasionally, but you will be able to watch, enjoy and derive energy from the upset.  You will be much more than your upset and you won’t lose your perspective.  You will be able to both join in and witness your life at the same time.  This is a very important key to dissolving stress.

What if—rather than defending yourself—you were able to OPEN, instead?

Without the 7th sense it just plain isn’t safe to open in relationship, or in any other aspect of life.  You have to open conditionally.  You open when you trust them, or when they haven’t just hurt you or when you have been married for a while or when they seem vulnerable.  Opening conditionally sucks because it feeds your mind rather than your spirit.  It has you think more and more and more and more.  It has you pass judgment.  Thinking and passing judgments are great ways to increase stress and worry.

As your 7th sense opens you discover who you really are and simply don’t need to defend anymore.  You open and discover something really ironic:  closing is what caused pain.  With the 7th sense opening just makes sense.

Many self help authors will tell you to open.  Please don’t until you have your 7th sense available.  Opening your 7th sense grounds you in who you really are.  It provides infinite perspective on finite problems.

What if you had nothing to defend yourself against and nothing to protect? What if every aspect of your life made a profound contribution to you and those around you? This is what life is like when you’re in tune with “The 7th Sense.”

Doctors and medical professionals talk a lot about the importance of reducing stress, but most of us have no clue what causes stress in the first place. Well…I’ve got good news for you (although you may find it a bit shocking). The situations and events that take place in your day-to-day life have absolutely nothing to do with the stress you may be feeling.

It is your resistance to what happens in your life that raises your blood pressure. And this resistance does nothing but waste your energy and drain you of your vital natural power. Resisting things always seems to be proper response in the moment, but it will always alienate you from yourself—from who you really are.

As you listen to “Opening Your Seventh Sense” CDs, you’ll be nurturing acceptance within yourself. You’ll find your resistance to life simply melt away as you get in touch with much deeper and wiser parts of yourself. Parts of yourself that you can trust.

What You’re Missing: The Sixth and Seventh Senses

Almost everyone experiences life using the five “physical” senses you learned about in grammar school. And many of us have heard about “The Sixth Sense.” Maybe you’ve even seen the movie!

What you may NOT know is it has nothing to do with “seeing dead people” and it’s not some “rare and special gift” limited to a chosen few. You’ve had it all along!

Your Sixth Sense is another name for “intuition” and it’s a powerful gift we all have but are never taught to develop. Intuition is another way to describe the process of opening to yourself, to others, and to life itself. It is opening to a deep natural knowing inside you. It’s the revelation and surrendering of the burden of self-limiting thoughts and beliefs that you’ve been carrying around your entire life. Intuition is discovering what you thought was “true” about you isn’t the least bit true for you. Intuition relieves your mind from having to figure things out or control things to perceiving how things are with your senses.

Listening to this set of CDs, you’ll experience a new (and enhanced) relationship with your five “physical” senses. This improved relationship automatically gives rise to the natural intuition that’s already inside of you. And as your intuition grows stronger, every aspect of your life will get easier…but that’s not all “Opening Your Seventh Sense” CDs have to offer. In fact, enhanced intuition is just the beginning!

Experience Greater Presence

Every time you listen to these CDs, you’re gradually unlocking the power of PRESENCE—this is the 7th sense. If intuition is like being touched by God or by the infinite…presence is being fully embraced by God or the Infinite. With presence you gain instant and continuous access to the fullness of the present moment…the here and now.

You tap into the power of now.

As you access the present, you connect to your own perfection. The mental chatter of your thinking quiets almost completely and you begin to feel your body in all its fullness. In this stillness, you get to “be here now.”

And here’s more good news! You don’t have to sit in a cave for twenty years or meditate for hours a day to achieve this state of presence. It belongs to you already. Listening to “The 7th Sense CDs help you discover presence for yourself.

Relief Is Returning To Your Senses

Relief for stress, worry and resistance is right where you are already.  The process of discovering this relief begins by returning to your senses.  It begins by noticing that your thoughts aren’t your senses.  Your thoughts, which are really just illusions, are so busy trying to prove themselves that as long as you perceive yourself to be what you think you are trapped, lost in the funhouse.

The mind is scared, it is lonely, it is angry and upset.  It deserves to be.  It has all sorts of responsibility that it can’t handle and things it must do that it can’t do.  Imagine taking a job that you can’t possibly do and each day you have to convince yourself that you can. Wouldn’t it be terrible to go into work, to live wondering if today is the day that your inabilities are going to be discovered?

Being here right now in this moment really does begin with returning to your senses.  Notice what you see, hear, feel, smell and taste.  Discover where you are with your senses, not with your thinking.  You are in the habit of using your mind and thinking for nearly everything.  This bad habit makes life tough, it robs you of the easy pleasures of feeling all around you.  It has you ignore your body and its abilities to settle into a situation.  It isolates and separates you forcing you into the past or the future and out of the present.  It squeezes you out of the present and you don’t even notice.  You are trying to justify yourself by what you will do or have done.  You don’t notice that everything is right here right now.

Beginning the process of returning to your senses isn’t easy; the flow is in the other direction.  Here we are in an election year.  The politicians are trying to tell you what you want to hear.  So is your mind.  They will say one thing now but will change their tune if elected, so will you.  Your mind is endlessly fickle, immoral and is built on a biological framework of needs and wants, its constituents, that it must try and keep happy.

Sensing Your Senses

It takes practice to return to your senses.  Throughout your day you need to notice what you see before you add judgments.  You need to notice what you hear, not what you say about what you hear.  You can hear someone speaking and just notice that they are speaking, determining what they are saying is already a mental distortion then, as you will, determining what they really mean by what they are saying drives you even further down the crazy path.

Your biggest initial treasure will be rediscovering what you feel.  What does your body feel now?  What does it feel now?  In each moment there are lots of feelings going on.  The mind has mistakenly projected the cause of these feelings to be outside yourself.  This makes you a victim.  Begin to sense the feelings, physical sensations, that are going on in you each moment.

While beginning to sense your body may be difficult at first, it is the primary way to ground your thinking and relieve your mind of the stress, dissatisfaction and trauma you have learned to live with.

The Last Straw

A camel complains when asked to carry the load.  It doesn’t matter if you put one pound or one hundred pounds on the camel’s back it lets you know that it is the end of the world. Every straw is the last straw that breaks his back. And the camel will make a bunch of noises that indicate that this isn’t fair, that what it is being asked to carry is just too much.

Your life is hard and you may not even know it.  Your life is hard if it is a mind-based life.  Your life is hard if you ever, and I do mean ever, believe what you think.  Your life is hard if you can’t regularly and consistently tell the difference between what you think and what you sense.

7th Sense starts where motivational and purely spoken word CDs leave off.  These CDs are experiential, supporting you in the integration of new understanding and greater presence into your experience of each moment of your life.  They result in you being more present, and that is simply what we are here for.
